'Rosie and Glenn' Historical Costumes
and Living History is my part-time business, which I run with the help
of my husband Glenn, from our home in Norfolk, England.
The business has developed from our hobby, Historical
Re-enactment, which we have both enjoyed since 1992/3, when we joined
a national re-enactment society. As members of that society we took part
in battle re-enactments all over the country, as well as doing our own
small local events and school visits.
We left the battle re-enactment scene in 2000, but after
discovering that we both still enjoyed making things and doing demonstrations,
got back into it with the private home business. Now we are focusing more
on the 'educational' and 'living history' elements of re-enactment - providing
events, workshops, talks and demonstrations where we can share our craft
skills and knowledge.
At present, I am more involved than Glenn is, as I regularly
provide Medieval activities at Moyses Hall Museum in Bury St. Edmunds.
Glenn helps out now and then, and most recently has given some Anglo-Saxon
sessions at Ely Museum.
